The farmLudvikov Horses & Holiday is in a small village called Ludvikov pod Smrkem, lying in the Jizera Mountains against the Giant Mountains. Ludvikov pod Smrkem is at the three country point, where the borders of Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic meet. With a height of 1124 meters, Smrk is the highest mountain of the North-Bohemian Jizera Mountains. Originally, the area served for breeding racehorses. In 1998, the main building was completely renovated. At present, the horse stable is on the ground floor and on the first floor there are several guest rooms, a common room and lounge room. We are a Dutch couple named Gideon & Hefziba. We bought the area, which was just perfect for realizing our plans, in 2006. One of our plans was to build a campsite. It was successfully finished in spring 2007 and it is now fully available for our guests. However, our main goal was to provide our guests, who can be accommodated in our pension or campsite, with an unforgettable experience of exploring the Jizera Mountains on the horseback. For this, and other riding purposes, we use our lovely Icelandic horses. But, of course, “big” horses are also present here. Our goals were met and both the pension and campsite are ready to welcome new guests but also those who like to come to Ludvikov again and again. All are welcome in Ludvikov Horses & Holiday; you can indulge yourselves in the peaceful environment of the North-Bohemian mountains and forests any time of the year with a very pleasant family-friendly service.
